Pre-demolitionhazmat survey
Before a structure comes down, regulated materials have to be found and removed. A survey keeps the demo on schedule and the project compliant.
DOSH
Find it beforeit finds you
Federal asbestos rules (NESHAP) require an asbestos inspection before demolition of most facilities, and California air districts generally require notification before work starts. Lead paint, PCB-containing equipment, mercury devices and other hazardous materials can also be present in older utility and industrial structures.
A pre-demolition survey identifies what's there, where, and how much, so the prime can price abatement accurately and sequence it ahead of demolition instead of discovering it mid-project.

Pre-Demolition Hazmat SurveyFAQ
Is an asbestos survey required before demolition?
For most facilities, federal NESHAP rules require an asbestos inspection before demolition, and California air districts typically require notification. Requirements depend on the structure and district.
What else do you look for besides asbestos?
Lead paint and other regulated materials common in older utility and industrial structures. The survey scope is set with the prime.
Can you do the abatement too?
Yes. Alliance holds CA DOSH Asbestos Registration #1090 and is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm, so the same team can survey and abate.
Can you support our bid?
